Skill Cooldowns

Majority of the ability skills for all classes now have cooldowns. These cooldowns vary according to the class and the type of the skill. The cooldown for each respective skill will appear at the bottom when you hover over the skill. Skill cooldowns are applicable in Proxima and Arena too.

Please consider the following facts associated with Skill cooldowns.
  • Skill cooldowns are applicable to all the ability skills and they don't apply to skills that you would use to hunt.
  • Cooldowns apply to all the classes and they vary according to the skill. Knowing when to use which skill is the key to master gameplay in this update. Holy Knight has a combination of Shields and Weapons which could be used in-case higher skills like Karna Weapon and Breath of Redyan are in cooldown. Mages on the other hand can use HP Absorber when Advanced HP Absorber is in cooldown and vise-versa.
  • You could no longer spam a particular skill and you will have to be very calculative when it comes to using a skill. Using Heal on Full HP will essentially waste the skill and put in under a cooldown. Similarly multiple players would need co-ordination to deal with specific scenarios. For instance, 2 Holy Knights healing a player should make sure that they take turns to heal so that the cooldown is distributed and no HK wastes a Heal skill on Full HP. Same applies to Razbadge.
  • Dispel Skills (Freewill and Freedom) have cooldowns too and hence the usage of these skills are regulated. This would give more importance to other ability skills by preventing them from being immediately dispelled.
  • This gameplay update will not affect a regular player since the cooldown of the skills is usually less than or equal to the duration of lasting skills.
This gameplay update emphasizes on improving player's ability to cast skills and will reduce the effects of Latency on the game play which is a deciding factor when spamming skills.

Misc Changes
  • Added rate limiting to HP and MP potting to prevent potting abuse.
  • Increased the exhaustion rate for Holy knights to prevent heal from being less effective (30% heal)
  • Removed 30% heal limit in Proxima during Thrymgjor invasion.
  • Fixed cooldown indicators on Premium Larcs.
More changes will be done during the christmas updates.
