Game Client Enhancements

At the beginning of this year, we have pledged to improve the Game Client as a part of our 2020 vision for A3 Mania. So far we have been making constant updates to the core game, but the Game Client didn't receive the attention it deserved. We have worked really hard for the past few months and finally made pretty good improvements to the Game Client.

Improved Integration with Nvidia / AMD GPUs
The A3 Mania client now includes native integration with Nvidia and AMD APIs. This will help you directly record videos in the game with no lag. You could also capture last few minutes of gameplay with Nvidia's Game overlay and crop them directly from the game itself. You can also broadcast your game stream live on Twitch, Facebook or Youtube.

Native Full HD/1440P and 4K Support with Widescreen
A3 Mania Game client now supports running natively at Full HD (1080P), 1440P and 4K. Few more resolutions are supported for widescreen displays and laptops. This is perhaps the biggest change since the game was running at a much smaller resolution prior and there would be considerable delay for the monitor to switch to the correct resolution. Now, since the game runs in native monitor resolution, the launch and minimizing and maximizing the game is much faster.

You now get the resolution configuration options in the Game Launcher.

New DirectX support
The game client now supports upgraded DirectX APIs. Inorder to run the game, you will need to install DirectX Runtime from Microsoft. Although, most of the windows installations come with the runtime installed, if you receive an error message while starting the client, please download and install the runtime from this link.

The new DirectX APIs provide performance and visual improvements.

Crisp and Clear Fonts
The font rendering in the game has been heavily reworked to make the text much more clear and crisp for high resolution displays. You can notice the change in the font rendering especially when you are running the game at higher resolutions.

Dualing Support
Game client now supports Dualing (Starting Multiple instances) of the client. Although this is not officially supported, we did add the extra functionality to help players without installing any third party paid software like Sandboxie. You will have to acknowledge the warning message before starting more than 1 instance of the game client. Note that we only support running one client per PC and running multiple instances of the game can affect performance. Please observe caution.

Skill Cooldowns

Cooldowns have been removed for majority of the skills.

In the past, we have received complaints from few players who had issues with the responsiveness of their skills after cooldown. After indept testing, we have identified a Windows timer issue that caused a clock skew that affected a subset of players. This would cause skills to have longer cooldowns by few milliseconds for certain players. Although this wouldn't pose a problem in a real world situation, we have observed that it might cause hindrance in casting core ability skills. To address this issue, we will have to make the client forcefully increase the timer resolution of Windows so that the accuracy of the cooldown timers increases. This however has a side-effect which would cause increased CPU usage and bad battery life on laptops. Hence, Skill cooldowns for most of the ability skills have been removed until a proper fix is in place. Void stone on the other hand can still be used to reset cooldowns on skills that do have cooldowns.

Rubal's Elixir

We have altered the damage calculation in Rubal's Elixir when used on a Mage.

Before:
(Base Damage + Additional Damage) X 3 Rubal Elixir Damage = Total Damage

Now:
[(Base Damage) X 3 Rubal Elixir Damage] + Additional Damage = Total Damage

Additional Damage are sources of additional damage like Options on Gloves, Husler passive on Mercenary, 140 ESS options, etc.

Level 140 Elite Super Shue

Level 140 Elite Super Shue provides Decreases Opponents Defenses by 2% (Normal and Elemental) for each level after Level 130.

You can now level up your Elite Super Shue to Level 140 with Neryidars.

Grade 8 Unique Set - Combinations

New Combinations for Reloading and Adding Blessing and Additional Defense have been added for Grade 8 Unique sets.

  1. Rebirth 12 requirement removed from Hamutz bossing.
  2. Hamutz 3rd Floor will require only 1 Di Scepter regardless of where the boss spawns. You will not need multiple items to travel through the map.
  3. Hamutz bosses will now move around.
  4. Unique set option when all 3 parts are equipped has been changed to Reduce Nullity and Curse chance by %20. This will cause 20% miss chance on Boss curses and Razbadge along with Freewill and Freedom.
  5. Defense attributes of Costumes have been increased to match Grade 10 counterparts.
  6. Mercenary RC potion is now moved from the Premium Shop to Morgana NPC in Proxima and can be purchased in woonz.
  7. Greybone's Room has been made available again.
  8. Fixed an issue wherein travelling from Ertakin to Hildtu didn't work.
  9. Holy Knight will not be able to use Razbadge on party members and town mates in Lost Realm map during Artifact War.
  10. Disconnecting in any boss exclusive map will return you back to town.
  11. Fixed an issue that would teleport you to Proxima instead of Sidhe before the start of Hamutz bossing if you are still in the map.
  12. Fixed an issue that would return you to Clororence from Proxima if you die in the map to the Boss.
  13. Improved monster distribution in Skyring and Grnita Park.
  14. Tweaked the behavior of Ranias.
  15. Mage damage calculations have been reworked for Non-Elemental Skills.

Please note that any applications that interfere will the working of the A3 Client will cause the client to crash. Please uninstall any such applications including Sandboxie and Process Explorer.

If your game still doesn't start, please reach out to the Support with the screenshot of your Computer Properties. We will need your Computer Name, OS Version and Processor Model number to investigate the cause of client crashes and recommend a solution to you.
