I've noticed a lot of new beginners like myself making some irreversible mistakes, by which they're stuck on an invested char.
I wish to bring a few tips to help them avoid such mistakes before starting their A3 journey. Any suggestions and criticism are welcome
1) Character creation
1st ever mistake I made, is making two invested chars of different classes on the same account. This locks you out of playing or leveling both chars simultaneously if you can find a gp party. I wish I could rectify this mistake, but it's too late unless any character transfer comes into functionality from one account to another. So create different chars on different accounts.
DO NOT CREATE MORE THAN ONE MAIN CHAR ON A SINGLE ACCOUNT.
2) Character Selection
This is to give you an insight into how your character can perform while leveling up, bossing, and pking.
I'm still not aware much of pking or bossing so I leave it to the senior players. Below is my experience of different chars.
A] Mage is the easiest of them all to level up, because of non-elemental skills dealing substantial damage. In parties, the mage's role is to pan and teleport the whole party to different sections of the map. A mage can also help other players level faster by engaging gp parties
B] Archer is the second easiest char to level, thanks to its range and evasion. As you level your skills, it becomes very easy to farm, and with the right equipment, it becomes the main damage dealer in the party, as well as one of the most damage-dealing characters to withstand in the endgame.
C] Holy Knight has more balanced gameplay, as he can easily become a support member as well as hold his own, thanks to his heal, buffing, and debuffing skills. Also, he is the single class who can revive anyone, so a helpful char. Some friends say a well-built HK can easily handle 1v1 pvps. As for leveling it is slower than the above two but not that slower.
D] Warrior is one class I've less experience in, but it takes a lot of time to build one. But if you are one real grinder, this is the tanker and player-killing machine with the right skill and equipment build. This one takes the slowest to build but is a massive thorn thanks to his high HP and damage dealing.
SELECT YOUR CHARACTER WISELY
3) Storage
This is the most common mistake I found among players like me. You may have a storage system, but that storage fills up quickly as you level up before you even realize it. So do not fill it up just like that, craft storage boxes as per the link given :
https://a3guide.com/item/Storage-Box
Turns out the pesky items like pointy hair bones and stones aren't useless at all
Also, have a spare storage account in case you still need some extra storage
CRAFT STORAGE BOXES TO STORE STUFF
4) Leveling
I frequently see newer players grind for levels from scratch. You don't need to friends, you can easily ask someone to spot you till level 70 by GP ( Grnita Park ) parties. This map is essentially for leveling up till rebirth (RB) levels. Even if someone still leaves you at level 50, you can grind by yourself. But grind until 70 and only 70. Do not go above it because you get a very helpful quest.
IMPORTANT: THIS QUEST IS ONLY AVAILABLE AT 70, NOT ABOVE IT.
Go to Torbierr at 70, and trigger the quest 'The evil spirits I've caught before'. Hunt the basic monsters and GET A FREE RIDE TO LEVEL 80, WITH A STORAGE BOX
After that, thanks to the game masters and developers, you can access the all-helpful GP quest at Asten, 'Misery at Grnita'. This is the only quest that'll help you get to 150+ which is rb levels relatively easily.
IMPORTANT: The reason to craft storage boxes is to store the reward items Ruby, Topaz, and Sapphire in them. Filled boxes may help you get 250-300mil per box which is helpful to pay the rb amount.
KEEP FARMING AND FILLING BOXES FOR RB
Or if you're willing to pay a small amount, you can buy the Mania+ Subscription which is really helpful to level up. you can find the info below

5) Rebirth
This is where I messed up too. Rebirth essentially resets your character's stats to level 1, but each rb gives you additional points to begin leveling faster. Every rb gives you rb*50 points, for eg rb1 gives you 50 starting points, rb2 gives 100, and so on.
ONTO THE MESSED UP PART.
You have to be careful to not click the RB option unless you have things in place.
1st, you need to remove the extra stuff in your inventory as your inventory becomes locked once you take rb, and only unlocks as you level up.
2nd you have to keep your highest-rated equipment so you retain the damage of that when you rb. BE careful though, IF YOU UNEQUIP ANY ARMOR DURING UNDERLEVELED, YOU CANNOT WEAR IT AGAIN UNTIL YOU REACH REQUIRED STATS. THE SAME GOES FOR YOUR SHUE. AND SHUES ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF YOUR LEVELING UP AND ATTACK POWER.
3rd, an easy well to jump to level 58 after rb is to complete the gp or mania quest, but don't report back to their respective npc right away. Instead take the rb when you're ready. When your level resets, then report to the npc. So you prevent from grinding or depending on someone again, and then farm again in GP BUT KEEP YOUR DISTANCE AS YOUR DEFENSE REMAINS 0 DUE TO YOUR LEVEL KIT NOT BEING REACHED THE REQUIREMENTS TO WEAR IT. You can either keep only your weapon but the existing buffs help you a lot, so up to you ( correct me if I'm wrong ). Then rinse and repeat to level 70 and beyond up to rb levels.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
ANOTHER IMPORTANT PART
PLEASE BE CAREFUL ABOUT RB REQUIREMENTS, REFER TO THE PAGE BELOW
https://www.a3guide.com/a3mania/rebirth
Rb1 GIVES you 100mil wz, but rb2 REQUIRES YOU TO PAY 200mil. Likewise, you pay 300 for rb3 and so on. So do not waste your 100mil wz if you're short on it.
ALSO, BE CAREFUL TO NOT VENTURE BEYOND 159 IF YOU'RE AN F2P PLAYER AND UNDERLEVELED IN TERMS OF THE NUMBER OF RB, BECAUSE GP QUEST IS NOT AVAILABLE POST-160, AND GOING FROM 160 TO 161 TAKES TREMENDOUS EFFORT.
6) Drops
Some drops from monsters are worth selling for a variable amount of WZ. DO NOT SELL ALL TYPES OF STUFF TO NPCS, AS THEY SEVERELY UNDERPAY YOU. Ask different players for advice or rarity of the stuff you get and don't sell anything other than G6 and below armor kits or weapons. Some worthwhile items like Neridiyar G/J, Stabilizer, and Catalyst are worth storing or selling in time of need, as you don't need it until rb6 to 8. Or you can refer to price ranges from the below thread.

IMPORTANT ALSO, DO NOT SELL THE RUBY, TOPAZ AND SAPPHIRE TO VENDORS !!!
THESE ITEMS ARE TO BE FILLED IN STORAGE BOXES. A BOX FILLED WITH 100 OF ONE TYPE OF GEM FETCHES YOU AROUND 250-300MIL WZ !!! SO DON'T WASTE THESE VALUABLE RESOURCES.
7) Armor and Weapons
The easiest mistake a noob can make is to buy G7 and G8 armor or weapons directly from npc. Instead, ask other players if they have any spare armor parts or weapons they can give away. Many players are helpful enough to drop your stuff from bossing or their spare stuff they don't need anymore. Alternatively, keep an eye open for 20% or 30% mounted stuff for sale. You can buy it really relatively cheaper than npc prices, as also mounted stuff decreases the required stats needed to wear it.
DON'T WASTE YOUR WZ UNNECESSARILY ON WEAPONS AND ARMORS AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE.
Lastly, these are some things I learned from my mistakes in the game, so I hope you check this out before venturing into the world of A3 Mania.
A more detailed guide to help you in the future would be this.
