Hello all mania members
As the title says, i need information about data cards.
Is anyone of you using any data card then do reply with ur experience( pls mention name of data card providing company and speed of connection)
Anyone who used or is using or sm of ur frnd is using then do reply. I want to know that do this game run properly through data card?

I enquired and found that reliance is providing data card with 3Mbps speed. And tata indicom is providing photon+(speed i dn't know).
Can anyone tell me that do they really provide such speeds or is it for name sake only?

It is a request to everyone including Numenor(techie of this stuff) to provide me with info and help me choose a good data card with nice speed at decent price.
Help me otherwise i will have to withdraw my name from testing team because without net it wn't be possible.

Bcoz BSNL launching there Data card (or usb Modem or something But wireless internet ) Product Prices till not decided we have to w8 till then (Dipika ROCKS )

Only god knows when bsnl will launch data cards with country wide coverage.
They are taking so much time as if they will be giving deepika for one night to every customer. Mind that their earlier model was preity zinta. They are doing these ads frm last 1 or 2 years but still they have coverage in limited areas only.

Tell me about reliance nd tata indicom or ny other company u know.
The main thing which i want to know is that will the game work properly through data card?

And i need prepaid plan only. Dn't want to get into trouble of monthly billing and all.
Btw i read plans of reliance nd tata frm their websites. According to that reliance have better plance but still the limit of usage is too less. Only 512MB for 500INR. Dn't know if those are latest tariff plans or sm better plan is available but those lazy ppl dn't have time to update website.

Numenor (the victim of tata indicom) must be having some good info. Numenor help karo. I really dn't have much faith in these reliance and tata indicom ppl.

I got cheated by reliance... Sala fcker data card company..

I got a plan of 256kbps.... that was 600 per month...

But speed was not even 0.256 kbps.... tried playing a3india in it... was dying in every 5 mins...
Lag that u cant even think of... so stopped using...

I was having first 2 months download free... but due to this lag problem.. didnt use it...

In the 2nd month thought of downloading many thing as it was free....

But when the bill cam after 3 months (no bill came in 1st 2 months).. bill was 3k +

And i also pain 2400 for connection....

Over all i paid nearly Rs 5500 for absolutely nothing....

OWNED !!

All these USB Sticks and Smart Cards work using GPRS or CDMA networks. They are very ideal for business people who keep roaming often, so that you can access internet wirelessly. Its an UTTER waste for Gaming purpose. If you click once, you will move about 5 seconds later. Its about 500ms-1k ms Latency.

but i get up to 140-145kbps constant on torrent
i hav dis prepaid data card 801 INR mothly for unlimited (mumbai circle plan)
i hav started playing a3mania on dis n im now rb 6 mage
i get ping of 430-490
so u deside abt dis
for tata n reliance brodband as scar said dey hav larg ping like my datacard but dey hav larg bandwidth up to 2.3-2.7mbps so dey r good for downloding but very high rates no unlimited plan( i hav my unlimited plan for 153kbps)
so wirless network is not good for gaming(dont know abt 3G u can wait for 3G
but dont take other wireless for gaming...................................................

data cards suck for gaming, as simple as tht

So that mean i am out of testing team. No one at my home will agree for wired bröadband connection.

so u want to say that u get 140KBps download speed on torrents?
Please try to download frm other sites also. Try to download Mania client or patch and let me know how much download speed u get.
If this 153KBps connection give 140KBps download speed then this plan sounds good. I enquired abt the same and dealer said that unlimited plan is for 700INR.
400-500ping is wnt be much of concern. I can manage playing on that. I dn't play ny online game nd i will be playing test server where i dn't have to worry abt pk, lvl up etc. All i want is that it should give 100+KBps download speed.

And the data card which u r talking abt that is worth 2000INR?

And dn't forget to mention the price of ur data card because reliance have two price categories. 2000 INR and 3500 INR.

best is go to some internet café or center n pay 15 bucks for an hour n play thr

I can't go to cafe. At day time i have to go to my college. And cafe wn't be open at 11pm.
I m w8ing for Rahuldx's reply. If data card give 140KBps download speed then i will buy a data card. I can manage playing at 500ms ping.
