WHAT I WANT!
A very good morning to .. .. .. .. .. .. .. . I stand before you to present the special item of the morning assembly. So , I decided to speak on "What I Want" , Seems confusing , isnt it . It is the experience rather a voice of a youngster named Max who is heading towards the end of his teenage. So he pens down his feelings. Lets hear what he has to say.
' Teenage, a bridge from childhood to adulthood ' , these were the inaugrating lines of a book on new-age teenagers by some professor who asserts on being a PHD holder , but ask me what it means to be a teenager.
Its like waking up some fine day and you suddenly find the whole world bizarre, things get a new clarification, you're reminded of your responsibilities and the most strangest of them all is how people around us behave.
People around me start asserting their principles on me hoping I would adopt them as my future goal . But you always taught me to make my own mark and now you're in a haste to make me just another face in the crowd. It seems you teach something and act something else, but I decline to choose your way , which you misunderstood as disrespect branding me a rebellion . But you never tried to see the respect and love I had for you.
Everytime you gave me a task and i decline , you thought I was trying to escape , but I was not. You fixed an hour but I failed to turn up in time. For this , you mocked me before everyone. You made me feel like a worm. I could have answered back but I chose silence hoping that you would understand.
With many such feelings unexpressed , I feel choked in an age where i find no room for myself giving importance to your aspiration. I feel completely lost in this world, yet i learnt one thing that it is courage that it takes to stand up and speak and it is the same courage that it takes to sit down and listen and now I am left all alone hoping you to understand What I Want is What i Want ! .. . .. .. .. .. ..
Cheers,
Maximus
