Gaming and Mac is a poor combo.
Apple = Only Battery Life and Looks.

Apple also costs a lot, instead you can go for a good Multimedia Lappy.

MAC Os is nothing but another flavor of linux. It is based on linux kernel core. if you are comfortable with Linux.. go ahead. You will like operating a MAC. It is much faster than a similar windows based PC.

However, MACs are more for computing and development needs.. rather than entertainment. I have a MAC book Pro with me and I use it only for my computing needs. You will be fascinated by it for a month or two maybe.. then u will regret buying it as it will not have as much as a wide usage than a Windows Based PC. Well I dont regret it as I use it for my office work and its a kind of requirement (moreover the office ppl bought that for me); and I have 2 other desktops and one Windows based laptop too.

My suggestion.. Go for Windows based laptop. MACs are nearly double the cost of same config PC.

Like Numenor said, it is true, as a proud owner of a Macbook Pro, i can tell u that you will be fascinated only for a couple of months or so wih a new mac, it is more work oriented and college oriented. If you really wanna look at computers wih more power and more fun and costing as much as a mac, the my friend all you need is this:

Customize it and tell me if u r not happy :P. It is a beast all together Bu hahahahha.
May the Force be with u.

I bought this 1 few months back and i must tell u it is the most awesome piece of equipment i have ever seen DawG!!!

The Awares are pretty decent on the price after you customize it, but they do have a lot to offer for sure!!

Alienware are the best gaming PCs. It was taken over by Dell when I was there. I was in the transition team when the takeover was complete.
