Damage, MP consumption -> whats wrong with them!!

1.

My char is an HK... i was at around 110 lvl when i tried pvp with a frnd who was 160 lvl higher rb than me with a lvl 15 g10 mace. My damage which shows up in the stats was somewhere around 2200-2500 or so! and... my frnd had 1600 def!. ideally with the normal calculations, the damage should be like at least 600-900 normal and 1.2k to 1.8k crit. But... guess what! i was getting 250 max crit! wth!!!
So my doubt is.... How exactly does lvl and RB(apart from stats) effect damage

2.

Mp consumption ->
Redyan necklace - 50% mp consumption reduction (or is it 50 absolute?)
Redyan Ring - 30% mp consumption reduction (or is it 30 absolute?)
my helmet - 9 reduction in hp mp

considering it is percentages,
my mp use for Demon hunter (which takes 52 mp) should be
(52*50%)*(100-30%) - 9
26*0.7 -9
= 9.2
But... actually the consumption is showing up as 20 MP. any idea why this is?

i have also noticed that with RN and Iarrtek, u can see mp bar reducing to 0 and post that also, u can continue casting skills. --> does this seem right?

regarding the working of R.N+lartek
if u have mp in ur bar it will keep on using...dont fill ur bar and see power of R.N+lartek
that will be 0 mp consumption
regarding ur dmg on other player
250 max dmg
thats becoz hes 160 and ur sm 110
and i think when u rach 160 u get sm xtra evasion or so.... hence don wrry abt tht
its just rb and lvl defense moreover his pants evasion also depends ight be g10 or so
and regarding R.N and R.R ya the figures are absolute i guess more over like DH consumes 52 MP
and ur wearing R.N and R.R that means ur having ur mp consumption reduced by 80%
20 mp consumption :shock: :shock: are u sure ????

Yes i am sure. Couple of questions:
1. if 0 mp consumption with R.N + Iarrtek, why should the mp bar go to 0?
2. What does lvl have to do with defense and attack? Yeah it effects evasion & accuracy but not the damage. At least the previous server i could get a direct damage calculation from my attack and the damage i do. It just doesnt fit here. Today i did pvp with another G10 hk... n damage he got on me was close to 250 crit i think! but his damage was way higher. at least the low end damage was more than my def + 400! ideally he should've done 400 normal and 800 crit AT LEAST!. i was rb 8 160 and he was rb 9 151. Even if i take the g10 set hidden opts property... he should get AT LEAST 300 normal and 600 crit!

3. what does evasion have to do with damage dealt? i know it makes u miss... but it shouldnt affect the damage on shots he doesnt miss.

RN and Iartekk do not stack, its only 1 of them that is being used i.e.. only 50 % working at a time not 100 %. But when ur mp bar goes to 0, it is a bug which lets u use unlimited mp ( Which is imba :D).

Now if u notice when u use RN and RR, there is no bug implemented here so u do not get the 100% fatigue reduction option to hunt, the thing is, there is nothing like the mp bar here which becomes 0, so it cannot be made.


And yea regarding the damage calculation, LOL on the 130 vs 160 lvl thing that is bullshit rite there from sahil, gm needs to give us an equation about how the dmg is being calculated here coz something is messed up in this rb system. DMG is not being dealt correctly... after immense testing we have come to know about this matter. :yahoo:

well i agree to these points something is wrong...!
I gave 900 damage to GD at lvl 160 n 400 @ 110 thou my attack stats were same at both :-?

well i guess dats coz of d lvl difference guess som stats gets ignored by d higher lvl guy or somthing corresponding to d lvl differnce not sure even im thinking :-w

I have always been confused with damage calculation. Dunno exactly how it is done. Scar knows more on this and he might post to explain the formula here.

What I have noticed always that level plays a BIG part in damage. U can say huge. even 1 level difference can have a significant difference.

If you are ready to die a few times (most likely). I can show and demonstrate the same with a GM char with exact same stats which u have. I will use different levels and show.

MP consumption with necklaces and other rings are awkward too. For example using a redyan and Iartekk should give 100% MP save but it does not. It gives around 75% till MP is in our MP bar. After it reaches 0 it will return to 100%. Dunno why it happens. Same funda goes with other settings too.

I'm ready to die for the greater good :D (i mean ... ready to do the testing). Let me know when i need to be online for this.
In one of the official servers i played, i didnt notice this big a difference in levels. u could even say that there was hardly any damage difference. the evasion accuracy and magic evasion is effected. true. but not damage as far as i've noticed.

Just an Update:

I pvped an archer..
Rb 3 lvl 153
me...
Rb11 lvl 118

my damage : 1.9k crits (dunno his stats) but i could see from the way my hp bar was moving that it was lesser than me...

Scar Scar where are you.. come post calculations pls :D
