The changes to the client in the last update were extensive and there were quite a lot of issues. We are thankful to all the players who reached out to us and helped us diagnose and fix the issues. As you have noticed, we have been releasing timely updates to the client to fix issues.
We have launched a new version of A3 Game Client.
You can download the latest client from our downloads page in the website.
The A3 client now runs in a secure mode and will cease to function if any third party apps try to interfere with the proper functioning of the client. Third party applications which include but not limited to Sandboxie, Process Explorer, Clickers, Potters etc will cause the client to not function. Please uninstall such applications immediately and restart your PC.
Note that the use of third party software like bots that give you unfair advantage is a violation of the rules of the game and will result in an account ban.
Since we have upgraded the graphic support in the game, the hardware requirements for the game have been increased. You might notice FPS drops with more players or monsters in the game if you are using enty level graphics or integrated graphics. You can try to play around with the settings to see if it works better for you. Also, playing on lower resolutions will give you better FPS at the expense of Quality.
We have included support to enable or disable VSYNC. You could use VSYNC to restrict the FPS of the game to your monitor refresh rate. This should help older PCs or people who dual to reduce the load on the system. Note that VSYNC could result in input lag based on your PC configuration.
What Is “VSync,” and Should I Turn It On or Off?
Flickering Issues with Intel Graphics
We have received reports that players with Intel Graphics were facing heavy screen Flickering. We have traced out the issue to a bug in the Intel Graphic drivers which caused games to flicker when VSYNC was turned off. This appears to effect more games but there was no proven fix. Intel has acknowledged the issue and provided a fix, however it doesn't work for everyone.
Screen Flickers when Vsync is Off in Certain Games
A workaround for this issue is to enable VSYNC in the game which has been included in the latest 220.127.116.11 client update.
Dualing is now natively supported in the client. However, please note that we don't officially support dualing. We don't test dual configurations on the client and hence it may or may not work. We have been receiving emails about dualing issues, but please keep in mind that there is little that we can do to fix such issues.
