I think server is good the way it is now, I looked at visitor chart and currently you are attracting a lot of players from abroad. I have few friends who want to join me here from Canada, and they all spend money like me!! Whatever may be the decision I hope its in best interest of server, if you consider percentage of MMORPG players in Indian population of lets say half a billion (?) it would be like 2%, whereas in North America and Europe that population percent is 20% or more. And 90% of them are willing to pay :)

But on a sidenote, honestly Scar you need to give a final word on server shifting. I have been spending money already on a3mania, servers moving decides any future investment into this for me and lot of my friends who are thinking of leaving another game and joining me on here.

Thanks

Jungleman is from one of the Latin countries, Argentina or Spain, there timezone is not so different from mine, so he will lagg even more if server is moved to India :(

WOW something super weird happened today, my friend came to my house today at college
and was on my network at home. I loaded a3 on his laptop and wanted to do a triple
login from 2 of my laptops + from his laptop too. He has dell studio XPS 16'' laptop,
and the other 2 that i have are: 1 is a Apple mac book pro and a dell XPS m1710.
As i logged into a3 from my laptops there was 0 lag as usual, but when i logged in
from his laptop there was so much lag compared to mine and we were on the same network
the whole time, seeing the lag i checked pings on his laptop and they were so high compared
to mine, his pings were something like this
  • 164
    195
    400
    489
    214
    245
    376
    398
    312
    165
    143
    148
    176
    290
    387
    586
and the average was something like a 280 ms.

Seeing such pings i used direct Ethernet for his laptop and still the pings were the same,
when i used Ethernet to check pings, they were like 98 - 104 on the mac and 113-115 on my dell.
I was wondering what could cause such a massive difference in pings and that too on the same
network. So i was wondering is it due to his computer configuration?? that he was getting
such high pings??, anyway the tech support at my university said they would check it on Friday
of next week and issue us a report on this, but need to wait till then....

Here are the some configs of all the 3 comps:
  • Apple Mac book pro

    Processor --> 2.66GHz

    Dell XPS M 1710

    Hard Drive --> 160GB SATA 7200 rpm
    Graphics Cards --> NVIDIA GeForce 7950 GTX
    Graphics memory --> 512 MB
    Networking --> Gigabit Ethernet
    Wireless --> Dell Wireless 1390

    Dell Studio XPS

    System bus --> 1066MHz

Any who knows why that one PC getting high?
