Indian Server : Your Views Required

In my opinion server should be shifted back to Germany. As I spoke with people from India their ping haven't changed much - it used to be like 300 now its 280. Personally I'm not from India, there are also many people from around the world and our ping felt dramatically - from 200/300 to 900/1200. Many people will give up from the server. As someone said before ping is not the only thing you should consider, there are many other problems with this server, like disconnections, login problem, people getting stuck while logging in. In my opinion the server should be shifted back to Germany.

AND I EMPHASIZE MELEE LAG!! its not PING!!

the server shift has benifitted players from india in a huge way...

and considering the player count...the server is fresh give it 3 weeks to a month--i guarentee 150 player count of i'll quit mania

P.S.- if the server is still running in india with current or better condition!!

Its perfectly fine in India ... DCs are lesser problem than lagg ...
I dont mind getting dced a few times ... after all how much time does it take to re-login ehh??

All the time I hear: Wait 1, 2... X months and you will see. The problems are here and now, not in few months later. I get a feeling that you do not want to see them, you will do anything to keep server in India. Ok, that is fine - I understand it. You do not care about players from other countries - that is fine too, Indian server, only Indian players. But try to be rational, it was better before, when server was in Germany.

Of course, the shifting of server has led to huge drop in pings of Indian players.
But I think you guys (GMs) should ask yourself the following questions..
1) Do you guys have enough time(without neglecting your personal, business lives) to rectify and sort out any issues that crop up with the server anytime ASAP?
2) If the server were to encounter any hardware problems, problems with the leased line, etc, would the customer care be better in India? (Personally I think no coz even private sector companies used to take at least a week to fix network problems when I used to live there.)
3) Does the server have enough backup to match up with power cuts that are frequent in India? (Is it worth spending the amount you spent on backups?
Personally, I think if you guys are reconsidering shifting.. you could look out for some other options.. maybe 2 servers as before? (Don't know what are the cons to it)
Overall I think, Indian server providing the money you guys spent, the time it will take to fix all the problems that it encounters overtime..

the thing that i noticed is that now whenever we get dcd , we are kicked out of the game almost instantly ,that is without any delay.. so i feel this kind of dc is totally harmless.. and as the pings have drastically reduced the gaming experience is marvelous..

earlier when we had high pings n that time when we use to get dc it was more of lagged out dc.. in such dc the character disconnects after 5-10 secs and during that time death was certain if sum1 is fighting or hunting..
good thing is such dc are not happening now..

so all in all GREAT work guys..
we love the new server.

The server is a lot different now..
before there were many people from abroad playing
now its reduced coz of the high ping
Hentai is 1 such player
his ping is 400+
and the hentai u see online is not the real 1
ne way for indian people its awesome
my ping is 93 ms
before it was 220 ms

My point is cant we move it to place where its fine for both the Indians as well as ppl from abroad

Let me clear something.

The Leased Line is provided with SERVICE LEVEL AGREEMENT (SLA). So if there are any disconnections, the Company (TATA) will provide compensation to us in ANY way possible. The issue with disconnections is due to the Network surge. The network is getting connected and disconnected. This is happening for Few SECONDS, which is enough to disconnect all the players on the server.

We can claim the compensation provided by the company, but there is nothing that we can do about the disconnections. We need to pray for it to get better.

As far as i feel, The Ping has reduced very heavily. Its about 70% better for Indian players.

Greetings A3Mania,

An avid fan of A3Mania since its early days, therefore I think I have something to say with regards to the new server phase and configurations.
During the early days, server was hosted on 2 server in 2 countries, (correct me if I am wrong, 1 in Singapore and the other I could not recall its location) during that time, there was no any lag issues or melee disintergration lag for me as I was playing from Singapore. Server was hosted by Qala, one of the powerful ISPs providers in Singapore sub by Singtel. It was great during then.

After the second phase, the horrid nightmare came. Server was in Germany. Melee lags, running lag. Everything was a huge lag. Still I played, due to the overwhelming great friends and company. Bossing was, let's say funny, cos my melee was stuttering and other players were laughing at me. Even tho having the powerful ISPs around, the connection to Germany was too far and the packets readings were slow. Those players from Middle Eastern and Western countries benefit from this due to fast readings of packets.

Now its in the phase of server in India, which has great melee, low pings. Not much complaints of lag issues for me.
The rest of the players, I am not too sure of them having great or huge lags.

Here's my two cents worth.

1: Server in India, Scar's residence. He will have up close and close contact with the server database.
Will be so much easier for him to rectify any problems.

2:Low pings and smooth play. Thumbs up.

2:Disconnection after Arena Matches.
This is the part that I hated most. Reason being, players after an Arena match will be auto disconnected, and therefore, when tried to login, it will be 3:1 ratio will be stucked.
Experienced this a couple of times, and trust me, its agitating when you cant play. Fact is, I dont have much of a time to commit to the game. Plays only on projects breaks, therfore, login in for the company and chats plus the normal bossing routines.When this problem occurs, it really is sickening.
I hope this will be looked into.

Server is great, give it some time to settle down. International players like myself and a few others, already had the disadvantages, like culture shock and etc but still despite all those, I'd still play cos of great friends and company.

I hope the GMs would consider retaining the idea of continuing the server in India.

Just a word of wisdom, in life, you gain some, you lose some. You cannot have the best of both worlds.

On a side note, great work on the server and efficiency.

after 562 client cm i didnt get 1 single dc from 4 days s some time log in issue cm and some time dc not becoz of werver becoz of net connation server is imba it give a3india tuch and imba speed of melle all becoz gm .gm sir tek rest go to sleep u done lot of thing .get your power back and later thing about chaning

NOooooooooooooooo Scar dont even think of shifting the server again to Germany . i and ma few frnds left mania coz of sad pings and delays while playing. its ok here we can accept 2-3 disconnections daily for playing in such imbalance server....also not only singel player disconnect all of us disconnect together so there is no fear of death or loosing any items etc etc.... ur hard work will not be wasted just give some time it will get stable

I dont think you have to Shift it back,
The pings have decreased dramatically for the Indian Players,
Due to this factor 8 of my area friends have joined a3mania and will soon put in their part of Donations too

I would suggest to wait for sometime and check the DC problems,
You dont have to shift it back, If you can get the 562 client done in such short notice, This must be a piece of cake for u ^^

Congratulations to GMs for successfully shifting the server to India.The pings we r experiencing now are awesome....never before a3 was so much lagg free......My sincere appreciation goes to a3mania admins.

Besides,the mouth publicity a3mania is generating due to its lagg free pings,It is bound to attract a whole new lot of a3 players from other servers( ...which will gradually increase e-shop donations )

Disconnections are going to happen wherever on earth u shift the server but i think u should allow the server to settle here.On behalf of all my mates,I will be greatly thankfull to a3mania-Team if they keep running server from India.
