Bandwidth Requirement

Greetings

My current ISP sucks, so m about to change my ISP

According to my budget i have 2 plans available

1) 4-8 Mbps broadband connection with 50 GB download Limit valid for 6 months

2) 256 Kbps Unlimited download connection.


Although the 1st offer sound nice, i wanted to know whether 50 GB i.e. sm e 8.33 GB per month is enough if i want to play A3 main well almost 16-17 hours a day ??


or should I go for the 256Kbps unlimited plan ??

Is the first package 50 GB for each month valid for 6 months or 50 GB for 6 months?

dont go for this plan that is 50 GB one .bcoz in 1 month u can upload or download only 8 gb, am i rite ? if rite i m also playing and downloading, and my net plan too is 1 MBPs unlimited and i surf around 22 gb per month so u would be in great trouble, get a unlimited 1 dont go for 256 kbps also u will may get lagg or RTO's problem in game bcoz the game uploading speed and ur downloading speed cant equalize. get 512 kbps or 756 kbps wid good computer config........thats it and btw which ISP u gonnna take ??????

50 GB for 6 months is utter waste. Get a Good ISP.

If you wish to use the net to just play a3mania then the 50gb plan is not a bad choice.
Client side bandwidth usage is very low for a3.
Not a lot of data of the plan is used. 8 gigs in a month is more than enough.

BUT it is enough if you wish to ONLY play a3, because at the speed of 4Mbps which is actually 512KBps you would effectively be downloading approx 20megabytes per minute, if u choose to download softwares, games, songs, use torrents, and stream videos.

In such a scenario you would exhaust your 50GB limit in a matter of days (with heavy downloading).

So the decision rests on you, can u be conservative enough with your downloading/streaming, then go for the 50GB plan, otherwise unlimited plans are the best.

P.S. High speed does not effectively mean low ping/latency, though it does help. so do a test run before you choose the ISP, go for the one with lower pings for Mania.
I currently access net 2 ways, a 3gb data plan on reliance 3g for Mania with relatively low latency (not too high and not too low). And my hostel has free wifi access which i use for torrents/downloads (very sluggish speeds but its unlimited and free )
