Membership queries
Hi,
I'm a new player here. I want to subscribe to the membership provided in e-shop but I have some queries. Please tell me whether the gifts that come with the membership packages are permanent or valid till the membership expires?
Thanx....
please reply soon.

Re: Membership queries
Based on the understanding above, we should check the net present value of the salary for 6 months.
NPV = Y - SUM (X0, X1, X2, X3, X4, X5)
where X0 = Amount/ (1+r)~t
Amount = per month salary
r = rate of discount (or your normal rate of return of wz)
t = time period
Y = Your initial investment in INR (real cash/currency)
For the platinum membership, with 25% discount rate, the NPV comes to Y - 11.06784 Bil wz
Suppose, the total investment % based in RC terms is Rs 10000 ... you can choose a decent wz to INR conversion value and use excel to 'goal seek' to a decent conversion ratio.
OR, if you have fixed conversion ratio in mind, you can decide what is the actual RC equivalent for the discounted cash flow (of wz).
Cheers!

Re: Membership queries
Ok, in a nutshell ...
NPV is used when you expect some cash flow over a period of time.
For example, when become member, you get wz for 6 months.
month 1 - 1 bil
month 2 - 1 bil
month 3 - 1 bil
month 4 - 1 bil
month 5 - 1 bil
month 6 - 1 bil .... is this 1 bil worth 1 bil to you today? The Answer is NO, because it is not in your hand right now.
NPV is a way to measure the 1 bil value in month 6, if it was available to you TODAY ... Taking into account, inflation, your needs, etc, etc ...
Suppose, inflation is at 10% per month ... the value of 1 bil today will be
1BIL/ (1.1)^5
or 621 mil.
You can read about it at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Net_present_value

Re: Membership queries
It makes sense to know the value of the item you are buying ... so I shared a method that I use with everyone here.
@Assault - Its ok, you dont need to get into calculation ... just understand that the value of money that you are SUPPOSED to get some time in future may not have the same value as it does today.

Re: Membership queries
The Cash flow diagram wont be helpful ... in this case, the amount received at time of receipt is always constant.GhostWalker wrote:its diagrams, arrows going up for withdrawals and down for deposits on a time line.
So, its a straight line ... wont help much.
