WOW something super weird happened today, my friend came to my house today at college
and was on my network at home. I loaded a3 on his laptop and wanted to do a triple
login from 2 of my laptops + from his laptop too. He has dell studio XPS 16'' laptop,
and the other 2 that i have are: 1 is a Apple mac book pro and a dell XPS m1710.
As i logged into a3 from my laptops there was 0 lag as usual, but when i logged in
from his laptop there was so much lag compared to mine and we were on the same network
the whole time, seeing the lag i checked pings on his laptop and they were so high compared
to mine, his pings were something like this
- 164
195
400
489
214
245
376
398
312
165
143
148
176
290
387
586
and the average was something like a 280 ms.
Seeing such pings i used direct Ethernet for his laptop and still the pings were the same,
when i used Ethernet to check pings, they were like 98 - 104 on the mac and 113-115 on my dell.
I was wondering what could cause such a massive difference in pings and that too on the same
network. So i was wondering is it due to his computer configuration?? that he was getting
such high pings??, anyway the tech support at my university said they would check it on Friday
of next week and issue us a report on this, but need to wait till then....
